Estrogen-Estradiol
Estrogen or Estradiol is the name given to the group of sex hormones that promote the development of female sexual characteristics. In a genetic female, estrogen is produced and secreted mainly from the ovaries, but new powerful synthetic forms of these hormones have been developed that faithfully mimic this process, and are used to treat male to female transexuals. Low doses of synthetic estrogen hormones are also used to treat postmenopausal women. Climaval is regarded as the safest, most effective form of estrogen (estradiol), and in addition to stimulating the growth of feminine breasts, a narrower waistline and rounded hips/buttocks, also protects bone density and reduces the incidence of heart attacks. The recommended dosage for pre-op transsexuals is one 2mg tablet twice daily. You will start to notice the effects of the estrogen contained in the drug within three weeks, and as with females at puberty, development continues over a period of two to three years until maximum results are achieved. We also offer two alternative forms of estrogen, namely Premarin (tablets) and Estraderm (patches). The effects of estrogen-estradiol are cumulative, so please ensure you take the tablets twice daily. If you stop treatment while still at the pre-op stage, then the development you have achieved will slowly reverse. |
